Patricia McSherry

Pat worked in Vancouver's professional performing arts as an administrator for the Carousel Theatre Company & School, the Waterfront Theatre and the Judith Marcus Dance Company. She started her professional career as an English & Drama teacher in Manitoba high schools. Born in Vancouver but raised in Manitoba, Pat is an avid curler and past president of the Vancouver Curling Club. Retired from Granville Island as the Manager of Public Affairs and Programming, Pat lives in the Downtown Eastside and is a member and Trustee of the St. James’ Anglican Church parish which brought her in touch with Kathy Walker and the St. James’ Music Academy. The vision and vitality and potential for social change that the Academy embodies appeals to Pat’s love of education and the performing arts. She also volunteers her time and talents to other community organizations such as the Metro Vancouver Alliance and the Carnegie Community Centre Association. Pat is delighted that St. James’ parish appointed her to the Board of the Music Academy.
