Bill Arnott

Board of Directors

Bill was a Certified Financial Planner for twenty-five years before retiring, bringing expertise to
the SJMA Board in money management, governance, and a passion for helping people. He’s
been active with Rotary International and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards for many years as
recipient and presenter, participating in youth development and community sustainability
projects. Having professional culinary training, he has also worked with John Braithwaite
Community Centre and Salvation Army New Hope Cuisine, mentoring apprentice chefs,
cooking, and facilitating food recovery initiatives.

Bill is the author of several books, from personal development to humour and travel. Sale of his
books has raised money for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada, granting wishes to children
with life-threatening medical conditions. Through his fundraising Bill has spoken and delivered
workshops to industry and non-profit organizations across Canada.
As a singer-songwriter, collaborating with local musicians introduced Bill to Saint James Music
Academy. With the warmth and generosity of those involved and the academy’s focus on youth,
nutrition, and the developmental power of music, Bill considers himself privileged to be on the
SJMA Board of Directors.
